Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T)
Helping teens manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, and feel more grounded in everyday life.
Being a teenager comes with a lot to manage: school demands, friendships, family relationships, expectations, uncertainty, and the constant pressure to keep up.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) is a research-based program designed specifically for adolescents. Through mindfulness practices, discussion, and practical tools, teens learn new ways to understand and respond to stress rather than feeling overwhelmed by it.

Learning Skills for Everyday Life
MBSR-T isn't about trying to make stress disappear. It helps teens develop a different relationship with the stress, thoughts, and emotions that are already part of their lives.
Through short mindfulness practices, experiential activities, group discussion, and at-home practice, teens learn skills they can use in real situations, such as before a test, during a difficult day at school, when feeling overwhelmed, or when navigating challenges with family and friends.
About MBSR-T
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) is an adaptation of the original Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues.
Gina M. Biegel, MA, LMFT, developed MBSR-T specifically for adolescents, adapting mindfulness practices and activities to teens' developmental needs and everyday experiences.
The program has been studied in adolescent populations and is designed to give teens mindfulness-based tools to manage stress and support emotional well-being.
