Mindful Parenting & Stress Reduction Group

A mindfulness-based group for parents and caregivers

Parenting can be deeply meaningful and deeply demanding. Between the needs of our children, work, relationships, responsibilities, and the unexpected challenges of everyday life, it can be difficult to find space to pause.

Mindful Parenting & Stress Reduction Group offers parents an opportunity to slow down, become more aware of their own patterns of stress and reactivity, and develop skills for meeting difficult moments with greater awareness and flexibility.

Who Is This Group For?

This group may be a good fit for parents who:

  • Feel frequently stressed, overwhelmed, or stretched thin

  • Would like to develop a more mindful and intentional way of responding to challenges

  • Want to cultivate greater awareness, self-compassion, and emotional balance

The group is also well-suited for parents of neurodivergent children, including children with ADHD or autism.

No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is needed.

Bringing Mindfulness Into Parenting

Mindfulness is not about becoming a perfectly calm parent or eliminating stress from family life.

It is about learning to notice what is happening in our bodies, thoughts, emotions, and reactions, and creating more space to choose how we respond.

Through mindfulness practices, experiential exercises, group discussion, and at-home practice, parents develop skills they can bring into everyday moments: during a difficult morning, when a child is overwhelmed, in the middle of conflict, or simply when the demands of the day begin to feel like too much.

Over time, mindfulness can help parents become more aware of their own patterns and approach challenging moments with greater presence, flexibility, and intention.

Our Approach

The group draws on mindfulness-based approaches to stress reduction and emotional regulation, adapted to the everyday realities of parenting.

The group combines mindfulness meditation, body awareness, experiential exercises, group discussion, and opportunities to explore how we relate to stress and reactivity in everyday life.
