Parent Group for Children with Behavioral Challenges
A supportive, skills-based group for parents navigating challenging behaviors at home
Parenting a child with behavioral challenges can be exhausting. Everyday situations such as getting ready for school, turning off a screen, completing a task, following a family rule, or hearing "no" and more can quickly turn into arguments, resistance, or emotional outbursts.
This group provides parents with a supportive space to better understand their child's behavior, recognize patterns that may contribute to ongoing struggles, and develop more effective ways to respond, while strengthening connection, cooperation, and parental confidence.
Who Is This Group For?
This group may be a good fit for parents of children who:
Frequently resist limits, rules, or everyday requests
Have intense emotional or behavioral outbursts
Become easily frustrated or have difficulty tolerating "no"
Act impulsively or aggressively when upset
Struggle with cooperation at home or at school
Become caught in frequent arguments or power struggles with parents, teachers, and peers
Have ADHD, difficulties with self-regulation, or other challenges that contribute to externalizing behaviors
The group is designed for parents who want to better understand what drives their child's behavior and develop new ways to respond to challenging situations.
