Teen Success
Executive Functioning • Life Skills • Confidence • Connection
Helping teens navigate school, home, relationships, and everything in between.
Being a teenager comes with a lot to manage.
School assignments. Schedules. Friendships. Family expectations. Stress. Decisions. Responsibilities. Big emotions. And, little by little, learning how to manage life more independently.
Some teens need a little extra support putting all those pieces together.
Teen Success is individualized, real-life coaching for middle and high school students who could use support getting organized, following through, managing stress, navigating relationships, building confidence, and becoming more independent.
This isn't about fixing your teen or telling them what to do.
It's about helping them discover what works for them.
What Do We Work On?
Every teen is different, so coaching is built around what is happening in their life right now.
We look at three main areas:
HOME
Building routines • Managing responsibilities • Organization • Family communication • Sleep and self-care • Independence • Creating systems that actually work
SCHOOL
Time management • Planning • Getting started • Procrastination • Staying on top of assignments • Breaking down big projects • Communicating with teachers • Asking for help • Managing academic stress
RELATIONSHIPS
Friendships • Social confidence • Communication • Boundaries • Conflict • Social anxiety • Self-advocacy • Understanding social situations • Building meaningful connections
Along the way, we're developing skills that reach across all three areas:
Executive functioning. Emotional regulation. Problem solving. Flexible thinking. Self-awareness. Confidence. Communication. Independence.
Coaching Based on Real Life
Teen Success isn't a curriculum where every teen learns the same skills in the same order.
Real life becomes our curriculum.
Maybe there's a huge project due in three weeks and your teen has no idea where to begin.
Maybe they keep forgetting assignments even though they've tried three different planners.
Maybe they want to text a friend but are overthinking what to say.
Maybe mornings are chaotic.
Maybe they're overwhelmed by everything they need to do and end up doing nothing.
Maybe there was a conflict with a friend, an uncomfortable conversation with a teacher, or something they want to talk to their parents about.
We use those real situations to practice executive functioning, communication, emotional regulation, problem solving, and self-advocacy.
The goal isn't simply to solve today's problem, It's to build skills your teen can use the next time life gets complicated.
How It Works
Meet Every Other Week
We meet one-on-one in a relaxed, real-world setting, such as a local Starbucks.
We'll talk about what's going well, what's feeling hard, and what your teen would like to work on.
Make a Plan Together
Instead of leaving with a long list of things they should do, we choose a few realistic goals and create an action plan together.
Sometimes that might mean creating a homework system.
Sometimes it's sending an email they've been avoiding.
Sometimes it's cleaning up their room, preparing for a difficult conversation, making plans with a friend, or figuring out how to start a big project.
Small steps. Real progress.
Stay Connected
Change also happens between meetings, not just during them.
Brief phone or text check-ins between sessions can provide encouragement, problem-solving, reminders, and accountability when needed.
That means your teen doesn't have to wait until the next meeting when they get stuck.
What's important to you?
What's getting in your way?
What would make this easier?
What do you want to try?
The teen has a voice in the process. We work together to find strategies that fit their brain, their personality, and their life.
Over time, the goal is for the coach to become less necessar, not more.
Because ultimately, Teen Success is about helping teens learn to coach themselves.
Who Is Teen Success For?
Teen Success may be a good fit for teens who:
Feel overwhelmed or disorganized
Struggle with time management, procrastination, or getting started
Have difficulty following through even when they know what they need to do
Experience anxiety or social anxiety
Want help navigating friendships or social situations
Have ADHD or other executive functioning challenges
Need support becoming more independent
Have trouble managing big emotions or stress
Are capable, thoughtful kids who sometimes feel stuck
Would benefit from having a supportive adult outside the family in their corner
A diagnosis is not required.
Coaching, Not Therapy
Teen Success is a coaching and skill-building program, not psychotherapy.
Coaching focuses on what's happening now: identifying challenges, learning practical tools, developing skills, setting goals, and turning intentions into action.
For teens who are also working with a therapist, Teen Success can complement that work by helping them practice and apply skills in everyday life.
